Project information
Due to increasing traffic density and growing traffic loading, the roadway pavement and the drainage of the Aare bridge Stilli had to be renewed on a length of approx. 200m. In this connection, the existing footpath was widened and provided with a Gussasphalt pavement.
Execution
Execution of the paving work was conducted in several closely coordinated construction phases. To avoid full closure of the bridge, the work was completed one lane at a time.

Summary
The construction phases laid down in the construction programme were further accelerated by joint considerations of all parties involved in the construction. Aeschlimann AG was able, through its great flexibility, to implement the ideas in the interest of further schedule tightening to the fullest satisfaction of the owner. Despite most limited space, the traffic obstructions were reduced to a minimum.
